Meet Kari


KARI LEE MILLER is an accomplished brand director, stylist, fashion show producer and communications expert with two decades of fashion industry experience.  She has worked with some of the most iconic names in fashion, including Alexander McQueen, CHANEL, Oscar de la Renta and many others.  She has led marketing teams and personal shoppers, created marquis events and publicity campaigns, and launched new designers, brands and retail concepts.

She’s also obsessed with finding the perfect black turtleneck.

In a career spanning from Seventh Avenue to Rodeo Drive, Miller has had a front row view to the best–and worst–trends to hit the runway.  Starting in the boutique PR world working with clients such as Dolce & Gabbana and Yves Saint Laurent, to positions in special events and styling, Miller ultimately rose through the executive ranks of legendary retailer Saks Fifth Avenue to the role of Director of Fashion & Special Projects.  It was here Miller would have the opportunity to work on a daily basis with the world’s leading designers, stylists, merchants and brands, creating events, producing fashion shows and serving as the voice of the brand in local, national and international media.  It was also here, through countless trend presentations and fashion shows, that she began to hone the concept of timeless essentials as the backbone of a woman’s wardrobe.

And thus, KARILEEMILLER.com was born.

In addition to her work with retail and designer clients, Miller has served as a consultant on NBC’s fashion competition Fashion Star.  She has been a faculty member, guest lecturer and design juror at esteemed fashion institutions including the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM), the University of Cincinnati and Kent State University, and has appeared as a fashion expert in a variety of media outlets, from Access Hollywood to The Hollywood Reporter to WWD.

Kari Lee Miller lives in Venice, California, with her husband and three fashionable felines:  Huck, Coco CHAT-nel, and The Cat Kate Moss.
